Performance, reliability and design flexibility
Electrical and power equipment operates under a wide range of mechanical, thermal and environmental conditions. Choosing the right engineering material is essential to component performance, product durability and manufacturing efficiency.
Depending on the application, manufacturers may need to balance mechanical strength, dimensional stability, heat resistance, electrical insulation, flame retardancy and processing requirements. These factors make application-specific material selection increasingly important.
Strength, stiffness and resistance to deformation.
Performance suited to specified operating temperatures.
Grade-specific insulation and flame-retardancy requirements.
Injection molding and design integration opportunities.
A combination of thermoplastic processing and fiber reinforcement
Long fiber reinforced thermoplastics (LFT) combine a thermoplastic resin matrix with longer reinforcing fibers. Compared with conventional short-fiber reinforced compounds, suitable LFT grades can offer advantages in structural performance and resistance to deformation in appropriately designed components.
Long fiber reinforcement can help improve stiffness and mechanical performance, depending on fiber orientation, material formulation and part design.
Potential weight reduction compared with selected alternative materials, subject to component-level engineering validation.
Injection molding enables complex geometries and integrated features for appropriately designed components.
Different resin systems and reinforcement levels can be evaluated against specific thermal, mechanical and environmental requirements.
Note:Actual material performance depends on the grade, component design and processing conditions. Electrical insulation and flame-retardancy suitability must be verified against the applicable specifications.
Evaluating materials against real application requirements
LFT materials may be evaluated for selected components where structural performance, weight, dimensional stability and processing efficiency are important.
Your partner in long fiber reinforced thermoplastic materials
Founded in 2009, Xiamen LFT Composite Plastics Co., Ltd. integrates research and development, production and marketing, specializing in long fiber reinforced thermoplastic composites.
Our portfolio includes selected grades based on PP, PA6, PA66, PA12, PPA, PPS and other thermoplastic resin systems, with long glass fiber and long carbon fiber reinforcement options.
We work with customers to evaluate suitable materials according to component geometry, mechanical targets, molding requirements and service conditions. For electrical applications, grade-specific data such as dielectric strength, comparative tracking index (CTI), flame-retardancy classification and long-term thermal performance should be confirmed where required.
MEET US IN SHANGHAI
We warmly invite electrical equipment manufacturers, engineers, material specialists and industry partners to visit our booth and discuss potential material solutions for their projects.
